The temple is unique as it is the only temple where Lord Vishnu is depicted in three poses  - Neela Mani Nathar in East Facing Standing Posture, Lakshmi Narayana in South Facing Kalyana Thirukolam and Anantha Padmanabha in an Uthara Sayana Kolam. A north facing Anjaneya shrine is also another feature that makes this temple different. 

It is believed that worship at this temple is a remedy for liberation from all curses and for eye sight related ailments
