What is our agenda?
To do whatever it takes to help Indians around the world meet their own needs in the realm of religion, spirituality, morality and the Indian value system. We are independent and different. Sometimes this means providing information, other times it means providing inspiration, community, or products and services. We hope people will find most of what they need on Saranam but we'll also help them navigate the rest of the Internet. We will provide both expert analysis from scholars and thinkers and, more important, allow users to gain wisdom and strength from each other.

Our team insures that we would be providing reliable, fair, and insightful information. Though they were hired because of their editorial skills and reputations for fairness, they also happen to come from a wide variety of religious and spiritual traditions.

The founders are Mahesh Mohanan and Mervyn Jose. We are a for-profit company. The Sanmar Group and Mantra Associates have invested in Saranam. They do not have any ideological or religious agendas.

We know that exploring religion and spirituality can be difficult. We are often afraid to ask questions lest we be branded as ignorant or stuck with a religious label. We hope that Saranam will provide a safe and exciting place to explore your own spiritual path.

Statement of Principles
The board of directors of Saranam has approved the following statement of core principles:
1) Saranam hopes to help people meet their own religious, spiritual and moral needs by providing information, inspiration, community, stimulation, products & services.
2) Saranam will be respectful of the wide range of religions and spiritual approaches.
