How it works

Performing your puja is the task that is done with utmost care at Saranam.  What happens after you place an order with us? Simple steps that are explained below should be able to give you a clear picture. In case, you still are not convinced about how we do your puja, please contact us at  mahesh@saranam.com We will respond to your mail immediately. For us, more than anything else, your satisfaction is prime!

1. Ordering
As soon as you order, you receive an Order Confirmation Mail (Mail #1) from us. The mail states the following:

Your name
Your Order Details:
  • Temple Name
  • Deity Name
  • Puja in the name of
  • Puja Date
  • Shipping Address
  • Billing Address
  • Cost of Puja (a)
  • Shipping cost (b)
  • Total Cost (Total cost = a + b)

This mail does not take into account your payment status which needs to be checked manually at CCAvenue or PayPal before sending you a mail (Mail#2) confirming receipt of your Payment.

2. Franchisee 
Once we recieve your order, the next step is to forward the order details to our representative (franchisee) for the temple. (A Franchisee is a person who is appointed by Saranam.com, in close proximity to a temple. He is the one who actually performs the puja on your behalf). We send him a message that states the following: -

Temple Name
Deity Name
In whose name the puja needs to be done
The date of the puja
Any other special requests, if you have asked for any.

3. Reply Message from the Franchisee
On receiving the message from us, the Franchisee concerned  acknowledges the receipt of the message and confirms that he will perform the puja as required.  

4. Reminder Mail
A day before the date on which the puja is to be performed you will receive an email (Mail #3) with "Reminder - Puja scheduled on DD-MM-YYYY (Order No.SARXXXXXXX)" in the subject line, which confirms that the puja is scheduled as requested along with reminding you of your order which is to be fulfilled the next day. 

5. Franchisee performs the puja
The puja is perefoemed at the temple on your behalf. The Franchisee sends us a message that confirms that the puja has been completed. 

6. Alert sent to you
After the franchisee confirms with us that the puja has been performed, we send to you another mail (Mail #4). The mail states that your puja has been performed as required. 

7. Receipt of offerings
Once the franchisee completes the puja, he sends the offerings to us through a local courier. The prasad is received at our Chennai Head Office. However, the days taken to receive prasad from the franchisee may vary. For example, the prasad that the franchisee sends from Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), takes upto 5 working days to reach us. But, the prasad that the franchisee from Kumbakonam (Tamil Nadu), may actually take only 1 (one) working day to reach us.

8. Shipment
There are two Shipping options

Shipping to Addresees outside India

Registered Post
If you have chosen to receive the prasad through this method, then the prasad is sent to you through Registered Post. You should receive the package within 21 - 25 days of shipping from Saranam.com. This is the most cost-effective option that we recommend.  

Standard Shipping
If you have chosen to receive the prasad through this method. The Package is then delivered to you through FedEx. Normally, you should receive the package within 5 - 7 days of shipping from Saranam.com. This is the fastest option.

For Addresses within India, offerings from pujas are sent by DTDC Courier.

9. Shipment Details
Once your order is shipped you will receive a  Shipment Alert (Mail #5). This mail will include the following details: -

Shipping Address 
Date when the package has been sent to you
Courier & AWB No.
Expected Date of Delivery

10. Delivery Confirmation 
Once th ecourier confirms delivery of the package we send you a confirmation (Mail #6). This mail confirms the delivery of the package and also includes details of any remarks communicated to us by the courier.
